Scientific-Technical Committee (SciTechCom)

The Scientific and Technical Committee of ISCM aims to promote and advance the science and practice of condition monitoring and related technologies in industrial and curiosity-driven research environments.
Responsibilities:
• Promoting the advancement of the science and practice of condition monitoring and related technologies through the exercise of scientific and technical leadership
• Collaborating with other bodies internationally to help ensure investment in the on-going development and improvement of CM technologies, including participation in funded project consortia
• Contributing to the strategic direction of the ISCM
• Providing a forum for discussion and exploration of topical themes e.g. prognostics; root cause analysis; maintenance; fusion/integration of CM technologies and establishing focused working groups where appropriate
• Providing advice and technical support for CM education, training and certification initiatives
• Developing and recommending codes of practice to help ensure that CM and related technologies are applied effectively and with integrity
• Guiding, coordinating and promoting international CM projects/grant applications in CM and related areas, including developing scientific-technical directions/topics for proposals and international consortiums, guiding and coordinating proposals and actively participating in international projects in CM and related areas
• Facilitating access to benchmarking data sets
• Collaborating with Education and CPD Committee of the ISCM in CPD development, including seminar/short course development
• Encouraging CM research and development organizations to become Liaison Members of the ISCM
