Clarifications and reassurance

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is presenting tremendous challenges for the global research community and for the entire world. Even the MCMD 2020 is still months away, we want to provide the following clarifications and reassurance.

We are approaching the submission deadlines and we are maintaining our current plan of hosting the Fifth Conference on Maintenance, Condition Monitoring and Diagnostics, MCMD 2020, in December 2020. We encourage authors to continue their submissions by these deadlines but we will remain supportive and flexible with the submission deadlines, as we understand that this situation may affect the individual processing times. Every paper submitted to the conference will be processed as normal and we will ensure proper review times and publication.

We will continue to monitor the developing situation hoping that the current protective measures return good results but we are also trying to be creative to get new ideas to handle the conference partly or totally remote. We will continue to update you throughout the next few months about any adjustments that might need to be made. We wish everyone health, patience, and strength during this difficult time. Please keep in touch with us! We will try to keep everything running as close as possible to a normal process though with flexibility.
